Recent Activity + TARDIS
Hello!
Over the past couple of weeks I've been having a constant battle with little things in Maya, being led around on a wild goose chase in forums to try to solve these things and generally being frustrated with the program. However, stress aside, I've recently got away to the bach for a couple of days with my wife and done a lot of drawing. This really helped to clear my head and provided a much needed break from 3D modeling. When we got back, I figured out my problems (encountered some more but promptly solved them) which netted this result:
I've been experimenting with texturing (importing skins mostly) and have finally got a handle on it (thanks to some great tuts on youtube) and also with lighting, both of which I'm really enjoying on top of the modeling process itself.
I'm also getting used to deleting my work history as I go, it makes my channel box so much tidier, but also commits me to the current design, which is refreshing (it stops me from going back and wasting time on minute changes when the object looks good enough anyway).
I've also been taking a few photos, which I'll upload soon.
